2018 W Club Registration and Upgrade Dolls

After what felt like a torturous wait time, we finally see the 2018 Upgrade dolls for the W Club! Integrity has informed us that they have changed the way the shopping cart works which will most directly impact overseas members who would combine shipping between several members in order to save money overall. Now members who want to continue this practice have to form a 'club gang' with a main ring leader running the gang account and putting in all the orders. I don't envy them and this new obstacle for collecting but I do understand the logistical nightmare that the prior ordering methods caused for IT and club liaisons. The new cart system will also make 'takeovers' trickier. I think this might be a good thing. I am hoping it will make everyone (including me) be more thoughtful when ordering exclusives and entering in lotteries. ***Only order what you love people!***  Takeovers will still be possible but will require the original buyer to complete the sale and then ship it to the new buyer. The new buyer will have to reimburse the original buyer. This takes the whole transaction out of the hands of the w club liaisons now (who were originally tasked with verifying member orders and cross-referencing).

So onto the new club. I highly recommend joining the W Club if you are even remotely interested in Integrity dolls. I would pay the $50 ($25 given back in the form of a coupon) just to have the early notice on new doll releases since so many of the dolls sell out on pre-orders before the club confidentiality period is over. Additionally, club members get priority for convention registration plus access to the wclub luncheon (usually a nuFace themed lunch). This year promises a minimum of five club exclusive dolls: two Fashion Royalty (which may included nuFace), two Poppy Parker, and one wildcard doll. Then of course there are often lotteries for additional dolls and usually at least one doll for the webinar release. Basically, there are lots of dolls and being in the club allows you to acquire more dolls with (sometimes) less stress. Plus, membership gives you access to the forum community (which I definitely enjoy).

This doll was the result of the club choice voting that took place during the 2017 club year. I'm a little undecided on this one. I like the fashion a lot though and Anika Luxotica MUST HAVE IT... I will wait to see the doll in person. I have not really been wild about the Eugenia sculpt in the past. I currently have two that are standing in as Cordelia for my Coven dolls. I think this skin tone and makeup combo is pretty nice though so maybe she will be a keeper.

High heel lower legs on this one! Those shoes are super cute too and the accessories are totally adorable. The soda pop!!! I not totally into the dress or the doll though but I do like a color. I might get her to steal the body to upgrade one of my older Poppy dolls. We shall see. But now that I think about it, that dress might be hella cute on the pink hair Liu Liu from the Industry. Hmmm.  This line is inspired by Kate Spade and will revisit some of the older favorite Poppy looks. The screening on this doll is a throwback to Reluctant Debut and the dress is reminiscent of Sealed with a Kiss and Dream Teen.

  Rayna is always gorgeous. I think this is a fun doll. The outfit is adorable and ditto the accessories. It is nice to see Rayna in the japan skin tone as well. I am trying to keep sculpt repeats to a minimum though so she might not stay as I adore Neo-romantic...but I doubt I will have any problem selling her should I kick her off the dolly island. 

 All three dolls are priced at $125 in fairly basic but nice fashions. I will likely get them all and then sell off parts I am not wild about as it usually ends up being most cost effective to do it that way. 

 UPDATE 2/18/18  Thus far I have managed some restraint and only gotten one membership and preordered Eugenia only. I will likely get one more membership though.

Well, surprise it's another twin. People on W Club seemed mostly jazzed.  I was like....hmmm. Not sure. It feels like a whole lot of lazy rehash.  That dress seems like a variation on a dress from Luxe Life Eugenia and the jacket is the same one we got on Karolin at Live from Fashion Week (which (I sold off) The hair color is almost identical to the recent Violaine doll (whom I ADORE).  But I do love the mint dress (it has pocketssss!) and shoes quite a bit.  I am not loving the hairstyle at all and would definitely be removing the Snooki pouf hair . I love fantasy hair...but wish it weren't so similar to Violaine.  I've been wanting a minty haired doll...and maybe this one would be a perfect re-root candidate.  So I am still a little undecided.  Someone also pointed out that her stock number (82120A) could possibly indicate a corresponding Lilith version (82120B?) is coming our way (possibly for Dolly days?). Which sort of panic scares me into ordering her...hmmm.

Paris Doll Convention News

The Paris Doll Convention was this past weekend. Pictures can be seen here courtesy of the fantabulous Gerda! There was a gorgeous Raven hair Ellowyne with cute bangs and a ponytail and smokey eye makeup called Paris Blue limited to 250. The Sybarite event doll for the Saturday evening banquet was a bright red wigged doll with hot pink eye makeup and a gold and pink evening gown called Epocholypse. There was also a Raven version in a black and silver gown limited to 20 available via a special drawing. Both have lovely face paint and the wigs are in a cute haute heidi braid look. The dresses are nice..but i am not a big fan of Superdoll's gowns. I love their unique sportswear looks more. I am the same with Tonner gowns as well. Some lucky ducks walked away with the new Sybarite Fashion Victim dolls. I am very jealous as these look FABULOUS. I so want that mohawk pink wig one.... IT Dolly Days East 59th La Femme Godiva Collection with New Characters!

  Well another gorgeous set of dolls from designer Christ Stoeckel. He and Mark Tinkey are definitely favs at the moment. The clothing here is lovely and highly detailed. We are getting two new characters which seem to be using some older sculpts.  I like them and I don't mind some stylization...but they do seem a touch out of step with the screening on Evelyn which seems more realistic.  I tried for Cora in the lottery and lost out.  I am hoping to jump on the wait list and maybe get lucky though. I am a big Mugler fan and this fashion on Cora is definitely a reference to a Mugler look as well as to Jerry Hall's locks (also a Mugler model). I missed out on preordering the rest of the ladies from the dealers.  I would really like to get Evelyn's outfit at some point.  I will be patient.
