 Carol's "eating workshop" began with the usual sharing of the rules and a new request for people to not yuck each other's yum. I appreciated that as, in general, I turn off the comments for any presentation so I don't have to see that nonsense and tend to block W Club users that just trash what other like.  It is fine to disagree and voice that opinion...but some people just have no class. This is old news at this point...but better late than never. Integrity has announced plans for open edition dolls: meaning, when they sell out, they will get restocked. The started with East 59th and Meteor.  While the idea is admirable in how it takes some of the bloodsport out of acquiring dolls, I don't love the $99 price point.  I assume the whole concept is to make it easier for new collectors to get their hands on the dolls without having to offer your first born to your doll dealer.  I (and others) speculate that this is a clever attempt to draw in the Barbie Silkie crowd who have been left high and dry and eager for a fix. Hence Integrity starting with East 59th as a logical draw. "But Aly, wouldn't Poppy have been a BIGGER draw?" you ask.  Well yes...but it also would have led to a red wedding bloodbath.  I think the choice of East 59th followed by Meteor enabled IT to do a soft rollout of the concept and make sure they didn't kill the website.  ...

They have been teasing us with a gorgeous Agnes face all weekend and many were expecting/hoping that she was going to appear at the lunch event.  She did not. I am wondering if she is going to end up being an extra special bonus or maybe a made to order dealie. We shall see.  ****UPDATE: This Agnes will be the 25th Anniversary doll and offered to the entire W Club for order.  It is unclear whether she is one of our pending W Club exclusives or a bonus. Anyway, so we got a crazy goth queen in Wicked Narcissism Eugenia Frost-Perrin.  I have yet to warm up to a Eugenia but I am pretty sure this is the one.  I love it. Well this morning started with a bit of a whimper due to technical difficulties. This pushed everything  back an hour. But whatever.  Then they unloaded a crapload of IT direct exclusives on us.  I was SUPER bummed to see no Misaki.  WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!  Anyhow... here's the round up with my thoughts. First...swell packaging.  Can't wait to see this gorgeous Agnes.  I am guessing she might be tonight's souvenir? Who knows. Some are speculating that she is the W Club centerpiece with Giselle being the souvenir.
