W Club Exclusive Bon Bon Poppy- First Taste of Champagne!

Well, my wallet is very pleased that I have no interest in getting her. People seem really pleased with her though.  We don't get a lot of redheads and everyone is rejoicing that she is not in black. I am currently at critical mass with my Poppy girls at the moment and trying to save room for the mod collection coming next year.  I haven't even taken Kicks! and Big Eyes! out of their boxes yet as there is currently no room at the inn.  I even kicked out Mood Changers Raven...who I love...but damn it is getting crowded in here. Why must they all be so cute. Damn perky little pouty lipped temptress.

I would really love the little brooch and accessories but it seems dumb to fork over all that money just for tiny things that will honestly just get eaten by my cat or toddler.

From recording a hit record, to modeling some of the most fabulous designer clothes, to attending the most anticipated artistic premieres of the season, Poppy Parker quickly became the "toast of Paris" and the French could not get enough of her innocent, "gamine" elegance and incredible charm. To celebrate the end of her Bonbon tour, one of the top champagne wineries of France, Veuf Christoph Pomarin even named a special vintage in her honor, the fantastic "EDITION SPECIALE MISS POPPY PARKER" with its cute pink and gold label. This is definitely a trip that will stay engraved in our favorite girl's heart forever as she sips her first taste of champagne!
 
Poppy Parker is a fully articulated 12.5-inch doll with fully rooted hair and hand applied eyelashes. For her last night in Paris, Poppy wears a stellar sparkling navy blue gown with a long tulle train on the back, matching shoes and delicate jewelry. Of course, this look would not be complete without the special miniature champagne set that she received as a present from the Pomarin winery, especially packaged in a miniature golden box just for her! For adult collectors ages 15 and up only. This doll cannot stand alone; a doll stand is included.

Well, surprise it's another twin. People on W Club seemed mostly jazzed.  I was like....hmmm. Not sure. It feels like a whole lot of lazy rehash.  That dress seems like a variation on a dress from Luxe Life Eugenia and the jacket is the same one we got on Karolin at Live from Fashion Week (which (I sold off) The hair color is almost identical to the recent Violaine doll (whom I ADORE).  But I do love the mint dress (it has pocketssss!) and shoes quite a bit.  I am not loving the hairstyle at all and would definitely be removing the Snooki pouf hair . I love fantasy hair...but wish it weren't so similar to Violaine.  I've been wanting a minty haired doll...and maybe this one would be a perfect re-root candidate.  So I am still a little undecided.  Someone also pointed out that her stock number (82120A) could possibly indicate a corresponding Lilith version (82120B?) is coming our way (possibly for Dolly days?). Which sort of panic scares me into ordering her...hmmm.

Paris Doll Convention News

The Paris Doll Convention was this past weekend. Pictures can be seen here courtesy of the fantabulous Gerda! There was a gorgeous Raven hair Ellowyne with cute bangs and a ponytail and smokey eye makeup called Paris Blue limited to 250. The Sybarite event doll for the Saturday evening banquet was a bright red wigged doll with hot pink eye makeup and a gold and pink evening gown called Epocholypse. There was also a Raven version in a black and silver gown limited to 20 available via a special drawing. Both have lovely face paint and the wigs are in a cute haute heidi braid look. The dresses are nice..but i am not a big fan of Superdoll's gowns. I love their unique sportswear looks more. I am the same with Tonner gowns as well. Some lucky ducks walked away with the new Sybarite Fashion Victim dolls. I am very jealous as these look FABULOUS. I so want that mohawk pink wig one.... IT Dolly Days East 59th La Femme Godiva Collection with New Characters!

  Well another gorgeous set of dolls from designer Christ Stoeckel. He and Mark Tinkey are definitely favs at the moment. The clothing here is lovely and highly detailed. We are getting two new characters which seem to be using some older sculpts.  I like them and I don't mind some stylization...but they do seem a touch out of step with the screening on Evelyn which seems more realistic.  I tried for Cora in the lottery and lost out.  I am hoping to jump on the wait list and maybe get lucky though. I am a big Mugler fan and this fashion on Cora is definitely a reference to a Mugler look as well as to Jerry Hall's locks (also a Mugler model). I missed out on preordering the rest of the ladies from the dealers.  I would really like to get Evelyn's outfit at some point.  I will be patient.
