Surprise Agni! Bonus Round Legendary Agnes and Malibu Sky "Don't Call me Basic" Edition Agnes

Image
Not one but TWO bitch-tacular Agnes dolls...ready to look at you with faint disapproval. I am a fan of Agnes. I have four in my collection currently: Intimate Soiree, Merveilleuse, Intimate Reveal,  and Devotion.  Four is likely VERY small compared to others but I try not to have many duplicate sculpts...(outside Jem and Poppy natch).  So these two new dolls might mean adding not one but two new Agni (plural of Agnes obviously) into the fold. We shall see. I have a couple of days left to ponder ordering the sterling Agnes (and I am sure I will cave).  I love her overall coloring but I am NOT a gown person.  The gown overall is greatly improved in this color way with the silver and lavender touches as opposed to the saffron number. I was downright salty about that Legendary Agnes and had I ordered her and then been given the chance to order this superior version,,,,oh boy. That would not have been a good look for me.  I am usually not a fan of the high pony but somehow this one works

New Misfits "I Like Your Style" Stormer and Jetta from Integrity Toys

Image
Woot.  More Jem goodness.  Here we get the last two Misfits.  These were pretty much the outfits we were expecting and I am not mad about it. I was bummed that they did not throw in the Jetta "Awards Night" fashion as a little extra bonus. (Fear not...I will just make my own). We did get the Rapture sculpt for Stormer...which looks great.  I love the OG Stormer/Blue Sculpt...but the Rapture sculpt is one of my very favorites and it works great on Stormer and, along with the side glance, gives her a lively look.  I was less pleased that Jetta seems to have little variation from the original offering.  I was hoping for a deeper skintone maybe to make that makeup pop (plus it would have been a nice nod to the recent comics where she has a deeper tone).  Or at least a highlight or streak in her hair maybe.  I made my own Jetta that does have streaks...so it is no big deal...but would have been cool to see something a little different.  Now here is hoping that I get lucky in the

New East 59th collection...But Make it 40s!

Another lovely collection from Chris Stoeckel. I always appreciate both the playability and the value of the East 59th line designed by Chris.  Frequently combining mix and match outfits or alternate looks for each doll, the price points for these are similar to FR and NuFace with way more bang for the buck AND often feature far more complicated fashions (cough* mini-dresses *barf). This time Chris has gone back a bit to the end of WWII to give us a bit more origin story for the characters.  I like it. My only complaint here is in the edition sizes. I have tried and failed to get a preorder on these.  I am hoping to get one today at sideshow.  Otherwise I will hope for a club offering or try to get one in trade later on.  I would like all three...but I also don't want one without the others (exception being Gus...I would take him by himself).  I am hoping for a Gus and Laird giftset at some point (maybe Dolly Days?). Chris keeps saying that menswear is not his thing but both Gus
