Tonner Virtual Factory Sale is Live

Go get your plastic fashionista fix... http://www.tonnerdoll.com/virtual-factory-sale?page=0%2C0 I succumbed to Morning Mist ballerina in purple and the Tamed doll for the outfit.  I wanted Morning Mist for those purple ballet shoes and Daphne is a great sculpt...now I wish they had cameo nu mood hand sets.

2013 Tonner Doll Mainline Release!

The newest offerings are up and for me, it is a bit of a mixed bag.  Now mostly that is because my particular tastes have either changed or rather, I am forcing my tastes to be my mindful of my lack of space and money.     The price points on this lineup are hard swallow...but we knew that was happening.  Still, it is hard not to think of the work Integrity did with Tullabelle and be a little less than enthused when you see $199 on a doll that does not even have a purse or a necklace.  Le sigh. Here are my picks and complaints.... Classic Elegance Tyler -gorgeous haircolor and style on the original Tyler mold.  The dress has an interesting sweetheart neckline combined with an empire waist and a cascading skirt in what looks like velvet.  She reminded me a bit of Sargeant's Madame X. Enticing Outfit - I like this Antoinette outfit with its nice color and fun mix of textures. Summer Swing  - I bet this one sells out in a jiffy....

Check it out here. Wonder Girl- By Allison Sohn I am excited to see the new ballet dolls. What am I wishing for? Hmm...I asked on facebook whether they had the rights to the City of Bones film and though it was not confirmed, it was also not denied.  So I remain hopeful that this is one of the new licenses.  We shall see. I really want a Lily skinned ballet Nu Mood body.  I would also LOVE to have a Nu Mood version on the Antoinette body.  I really like that body and would love to have the interchangeable feet for those dolls.  I would love to see a Nu Mood man doll as well with one of the good mandoll sculpts out there and give him the ballet feet and all the hands.  I would LOVE to get more hands for my superhero dudes as well. I would love some sort of Downton Abbey era doll. I am looking forward to the new Wizard of Oz dolls but likely won't be getting them as they don't really fit in the collection. Obviously I always hope for more DC ...

Nu Mood Tonner...SQUEAL!

So excited about the dance foot dolls !  I cannot wait for these.  The other body types are cool as well but I HATE wig dolls.  I will be getting all of the hands though and giving a couple of my superhero ladies upgrade bodies!  I really hope that our convention Wonder Woman doll has these sort of options... The feet options are also soooo exciting for posing..especially for ballet and dance poses... The fashions and shoes are lovely but they need to get going on some red ballet shoes ASAP.

Comics, Quilts, Makeup, and Costumes...yee haw!

Oh my it has been a very busy couple of weeks.  12th Night at the college has come and gone.  It looked stunning but nearly killed us.  Ditto for the dance concert.  I sewed like the wind.   We got so much accomplished and the end results looked amazing.  I also managed to dance without falling on my face.  I did jack up the tap piece a bit but I don't think it was catastrophic.  The ballet piece went off without a hitch.  On friday, I hit the Benefit counter at Bloomingdale's on Michigan Avenue to get my red lipstick for the wedding and got hooked up with some wonderful swag.  After that I hopped on the bus and headed to C2E2.  The convention was great and friday was perfect for me...totally not crowded.  I was not prepared for it though...just way to too tired to take full advantage of the day.  I did get my comics signed by Jimmy Palmiotti , Amanda Conner , Paul Mounts, and Gail Simone .  I also went to three ...
