Sneaky Winter Knitty 2011

Somehow..it seems that the new Winter Knitty 2011 managed to creep up without my notice for almost a week!  Clever girl.  This weekend I need to plan out my travel knitting projects: print up patterns, organize needles, ball up my yarn....it will be so much fun.  I still have not settled on what I will work on for the week...possibly socks.  Maybe a shawl.  I was hoping to find the Jane Austen Knits Magazine by now but alas...no luck yet.  Grumble.  So maybe one of these will make it into the queue... Skyisle is yummy!  I love fitted fairisle cardys!  Norah Gaughan has a genius (*surprise to no one) cardigan called Vale .  The Alata out of malabrigo would be like wearing a yummy cloud...albeit a super pilly yummy cloud.  But I do so love malabrigo...it is my yarn kryptonite. I totally love the Groove Scarf/shawl by Stephen West!  I am a big fan of little accents around my neck and I think this pattern would work really ...

Fall Knitty 2011 is up!

Knitty Fall 2011 Surprise!

Love this Quercus cardigan ! Quercus   [above], by designer Julie Turjoman, is a half-sleeved cardigan with just enough cabling to keep the knitting interesting, and a silhouette that can flatter almost any body shape.

Free Deliliah Noir/Ellowyne Patterns

I have the itch to do some dolly sewing this weekend and found this site.  I believe that Deliliah Noir is VERY close in size to Ellowyne so these patterns should work.  I will let you know.  They are very cute...

Spring/summer 2011 Knitty! Woot Woot!

Hurrah.  All of the socks are fantastic.  I have been doing sooooo good this year at not buying yarn and working through some of the stash.  I see a lot of potential stashbuster projects in this lot of patterns...my sock yarn stash should start getting excited!  I like rondeur too...a nice short sleeve pullover.  The Omelet shawl looks amazing.  So much knitting to do....

Winter 2011 Knitty Surprise is Up!

Winter 2011 Knitty is up!

The Diversify Cowl would be swell to use up some of my handspun yarn. The Cartouche Shawl is gorgeous but slightly daunting since it's knit on size three needles! I love Lady Lovelace . So much knitting....

Interweave 2010 Knits Weekend is Here!

Image
I loved last year's magazine ..The Mariner Pullover looks promising and I totally will have to find a baby to wear it with me...or maybe have one to wear the matching sweater. I am totally serious.  I mean I will like love the baby and all..but yes he/she will also be an awesome accessory. :)  Hopefully a slimming one... I am also loving the Prairie Lace Blouse .  The Conte Hoodie would be awesome for people who covet shibui sock yarn but hate to knit socks... I like the Briseis Pullover too...and its in a chunkier yarn so it would knit up in about two seconds on size 11 needles.  And I smell a new malabrigo hat in my future using the Byrony pattern. Yum for fall knits...and I swear I am recording a podcast this weekend so help me Jebus.
