Another Fashion Police doll came out today.  I am not tempted.  I do, however, really like Talc !  That is the first one that has called out to me in a while.  Sadly, the money well has run dry...or at least all bound for Tonner convention in three short weeks. DOLLS, Doll Reader magazines merge The two premiere publications covering doll collecting,  DOLLS  and  Doll Reader , will merge into one title in 2012 published under the name  DOLLS by Jones Publishing. The deal was announced Jan. 27 at the Debut of  Dolls  and DOTY Awards Banquet during the IDEX trade show in Orlando, Fla. Jones Publishing also presented its Lifetime Achievement award to Maggie Iacono at the same event. DOLLS  and  Doll Reader's  sister publications,  Teddy Bear Review  and  Teddy Bear & Friends , will also merge this year. Jones Publishing will retain the title  Teddy Bear & Friends  but increase the magazine's frequency to  TBR's  bimonthly schedule. T he Convention came and went.  It was a great time.  Much vinyl goodness.  I drank lots of wine as well.  Yum.  Also had my flight cancelled and spent an extra night in Vermont drinking tasty vermont beer.  Never saw anyone that looked like Sam Shepard though...boo. Vendor salesroom...it was me, Jen Perski, Marsha, Helen Skinner, and Dodie from Modern Doll...slim pickens...good for me though.  My tattoo tights and rockabilly clothing separates seemed to be a hit.  I am making more of both as we speak and hope to get them on etsy/ebay along with my hats. Raffle room...I won an Ellowyne outfit...Crying Shame!  Woot! Once again I tried to win my mom a Gone With the Wind doll but to no avail. Good gravy these dolls are gorgeous.  I love the rooted wig cap options cause I do loathe wigs.  I still can't bite on the resin dolls though.  My only resin fashion doll at the moment is my adorably plump little Bambola ! The IFDC Vegas Grace doll looks pretty spectacular though...they also have two giftsets which are cute but seem a bit spendy for what you get.

So here is what I remember... Tim Burton: Robert has rights to do some of the Tim Burton movies "Re-imagined": Beetlejuice, Charley and the Chocolate Factory, and Corpse Bride. DC: New sculpted resin Wonder Woman and Superman coming.  The superman sculpt is what Robert is working on in that video released on the blog. Avatar: These are still coming and will be resin. Marvel: Robert made reference to a new muscular arm sculpt.  Scarlet Witch did not have this new arm.  She did have the new bigger bustline.  They also showed prototypes for Miss Marvel, Phoenix (in the green suit) and Emma Frost.  They are sticking to the women at the moment. Harry Potter: Next up is Viktor Krumb in the normal size scale. Cami & Jon: No word on Andy's special friend. Jamieshow has several new dolls coming up for order. Lee, the Asian Male doll, and Alejandro, the Latin male doll, will be up for order this weekend.  Currently up for order, is the super cool Sasha resin fashion ball jointed doll with a rooted cap!  It also has a regular resin cap so that you can switch her to wigs.  It's a very neat idea. There is a small clothing line for the JamieShow Men dolls. The pieces, though pricey, look fabulous! I am not sure whether they would fit Tonner dolls. I am dying for the trenchcoat and fedora and possibly the white shoes. They would be so kickass on my Lex Luthor repaint...hmmmm. Most do some investigation. UPDATE! George from Angelic Dreamz thinks most of these will fit the Matt dolls but they must have the jointed ankles to get the pants on (and I believe all tonner male dolls do have jointed ankles). Wee!
