Alyrenee's Copious Spare Time

Yikes...I have been on a tear lately.  It has been raining dolls over here. Between pre-orders coming in, club upgrade dolls, a lottery, and a few ebay moments of weakness...I have an embarrassment of riches and almost no time to deal with them. So pictures will some soon. So the Integrity W Club Upgrade dolls came.  There were some grumblings over Fashion Explorer Vanessa and her forehead.  I don't get it.  Mine is GORGEOUS.  Now granted I am late to the FR collecting game so I have no loyalty to the previous Vanessa incarnations.  I like this one quite a bit.  I love the deep minky brown/black hair in the pony with the side sweep bangs.  I think both her hair and face paint will lend itself nicely to redressing in both casual and evening wear.  The boots and bag are great.  The sunglasses are slightly less exciting.  The skirt is actually blue...which surprised me as I, like most, had thought it was khaki.  I like it thoug...

Tempting stuff ...they have all of the Civil War versions of the Vampire Diaries characters on sale.  Also Marilyn and James Dean.

T he Convention came and went.  It was a great time.  Much vinyl goodness.  I drank lots of wine as well.  Yum.  Also had my flight cancelled and spent an extra night in Vermont drinking tasty vermont beer.  Never saw anyone that looked like Sam Shepard though...boo. Vendor salesroom...it was me, Jen Perski, Marsha, Helen Skinner, and Dodie from Modern Doll...slim pickens...good for me though.  My tattoo tights and rockabilly clothing separates seemed to be a hit.  I am making more of both as we speak and hope to get them on etsy/ebay along with my hats. Raffle room...I won an Ellowyne outfit...Crying Shame!  Woot! Once again I tried to win my mom a Gone With the Wind doll but to no avail. Tonner Salesroom...sweet deals on Twilight Dolls...I bought an edward distant devo, alice, & birthday bella for $50 each.  I got Damon Salvatore (yum) for $96.  They had Elena and Stefan and Jasper Cullen as well for the same pric...
