Legendary Integrity 2020 Convention Style Lab Recap Part Two: The Fashions

So glad these are coming to me.  Style labs are the thing I love the most at convention. I am a big mix and matcher.  I like to redress and play around with looks.  This lot is pretty versatile with some great neutral pieces and then some bright primary color pops.  Plus great bags and accessories. Seems like there are a few spring looks and the rest are fall. I like it. -----

At first I did not love the Haute Monde fashion...but then liked it more in the context of the other fashions. I also thought of how this would work nicely with that Madonna inspired fashion from the Supermodel style lab too (Strike a pose?). This was inspired by a doll magazine cover. Fun pieces. Cute boots. Anika Luxotica's gonna steal that jewelry.

Again, at first I was not sure...but the bag is amazing.  I might try to remove the ruffles if I don't love them in person.  But look at that BAG! Alain said this was a nod to the Perfect Skin fashion. I'd put this in the spring or resort category.

Love this one.  I like the soft colors mixed with the silver, modern details. Anika Luxotica is TOTALLY going to steal this one. It has a mod look the I like. I also think this will be very cute on Mdm. Jolie. Alain mentioned that this was a reference to the Brighter Side giftset. Another cute cute bag. Very springy and youthful. The pieces are fun. I love the silver obi belt.

Not sure I am totally in love with this one...but I think it has potential. Great draping and the corset detailing is cool but I think I would have liked it better as separates. I might end up selling this one. Another spring or resort look.

I like this one. The red jacket is going to look cute with the pinstripe pants from Monde. The blue dress underneath is also retro and fun.  Love the shoes and bag. Cruella Tatyana will want to steal this red coat. Alain said this is a reference to the glorious Final Cut Isha gift set. Gorgeous Fall/Winter look.

Not sure I am crazy about the blouse but love the rest.  I might do some strategic tacking down of the ruffle floof to tame it. It has potential. This is a throwback to the Foreign Affair gift set. Another Fall/Winter look. This is going to look good on the Goth Eugenia centerpiece.

This top sort of reminds me of the blue Giselle top from a few years back.  I think it was from a mini-gift set look.  I always loved that blouse but never got the doll.  I love this color. One of my favorite blues. That skirt is great. I love a high waist skirt. I like how the back is all black. Wish there was a belt. I might have to make one. 
I like how these colors are tracking throughout. You see the turquoise in the shoes from Social Behavior, And Scene's dress, and again in the accessory pack. There is a fairly strong color story through the whole collection with bright primary colors paired with neutrals for the fall/winter looks and then pastels and neutrals and metallics for the spring/resort looks. This was a recall to Royal Material.

Again, Cruella Tatyana is totally going to steal this. It feels very 80s power suit to me. It is both a touch dated and campy and fabulous in a way that I am totally here for. I love everything about it. I think that little bolero is going to be a really fun separate too. My Faces of Adele 3.0 is going to slay the dress by itself.

Alain said that the pantyhose and shoes will come in the little retro packages of yore.  I am in love. I like the little circle bag.  It also looks like the black bag is a redo of the silver Sorayama Dior saddle bag that came with the Retro Future Adele.  I adore accessory packs.  I feel like they could have easily made this an edition of 600 and sold it out. Seems a shame that some people will miss out on these.

Again..I love it.  Love the glove hands. I am thinking those red gloves with the red houndstooth dress on Adele are going to be fire. The pink shoes...I die. Again...could have been 600 edition and sold out in a flash. I was hoping for some flat feet shoe options. But I love the playability in the glove hand wardrobe. So fun.


Again with the Dynasty vibes.  This is a throwback to the Obsidian Society and Mauve Absolute fashions. The jacket is based on a look from the 2019 Fall McQueen line.  I love McQueen. Goth Eugenia is going to kill this. Look at the shoes with the floral heel again. I am loving it.

W Club Exclusive Doll "Mademoiselle Eden" from Nu Face...

Well, surprise it's another twin. People on W Club seemed mostly jazzed.  I was like....hmmm. Not sure. It feels like a whole lot of lazy rehash.  That dress seems like a variation on a dress from Luxe Life Eugenia and the jacket is the same one we got on Karolin at Live from Fashion Week (which (I sold off) The hair color is almost identical to the recent Violaine doll (whom I ADORE).  But I do love the mint dress (it has pocketssss!) and shoes quite a bit.  I am not loving the hairstyle at all and would definitely be removing the Snooki pouf hair . I love fantasy hair...but wish it weren't so similar to Violaine.  I've been wanting a minty haired doll...and maybe this one would be a perfect re-root candidate.  So I am still a little undecided.  Someone also pointed out that her stock number (82120A) could possibly indicate a corresponding Lilith version (82120B?) is coming our way (possibly for Dolly days?). Which sort of panic scares me into ordering her...hmmm.

Paris Doll Convention News

The Paris Doll Convention was this past weekend. Pictures can be seen here courtesy of the fantabulous Gerda! There was a gorgeous Raven hair Ellowyne with cute bangs and a ponytail and smokey eye makeup called Paris Blue limited to 250. The Sybarite event doll for the Saturday evening banquet was a bright red wigged doll with hot pink eye makeup and a gold and pink evening gown called Epocholypse. There was also a Raven version in a black and silver gown limited to 20 available via a special drawing. Both have lovely face paint and the wigs are in a cute haute heidi braid look. The dresses are nice..but i am not a big fan of Superdoll's gowns. I love their unique sportswear looks more. I am the same with Tonner gowns as well. Some lucky ducks walked away with the new Sybarite Fashion Victim dolls. I am very jealous as these look FABULOUS. I so want that mohawk pink wig one.... IT Dolly Days East 59th La Femme Godiva Collection with New Characters!

  Well another gorgeous set of dolls from designer Christ Stoeckel. He and Mark Tinkey are definitely favs at the moment. The clothing here is lovely and highly detailed. We are getting two new characters which seem to be using some older sculpts.  I like them and I don't mind some stylization...but they do seem a touch out of step with the screening on Evelyn which seems more realistic.  I tried for Cora in the lottery and lost out.  I am hoping to jump on the wait list and maybe get lucky though. I am a big Mugler fan and this fashion on Cora is definitely a reference to a Mugler look as well as to Jerry Hall's locks (also a Mugler model). I missed out on preordering the rest of the ladies from the dealers.  I would really like to get Evelyn's outfit at some point.  I will be patient.
