I pre-ordered this whole set. Its a bit costumey but I think the pieces will mix nicely with other outfits in fun ways. I wish at least one of the ladies came with flat feet. The Alice doll would have been the obvious choice. Oh well.

Red Queen of Hearts. The jacket is based on a YSL coat. Fun. These pieces will be great mixed with the Cruella fashions (assuming they can be wedged on a FR body). Again not loving the doll. I would have liked her in a darker skin tone.

Tweedle Twin. The outfit is adorable and I like Poppy too. Definitely a keeper. She looks like she has a screening similar to the IFDC Poppy dolls from a few years back (which I LOVE). I like the hair color too. I don't have any Blonde Poppies and I like this warm golden color.

Caterpillar. HOOKAH!!!! So fun. Not sure about the doll or the outfit. That body suit could be really fun with the right styling. The skirt is a little bulky looking to me. The hair and makeup seem a little boring but I like the skin tone. I will have to see her in person.

So cute. And here I see a watch. Amen.  I would have really liked a pocket watch though. That bag is adorable. These will mix nicely with the Tulabelle giftset from last year too. Weeeee! I wish there was a pair of flat feet shoes because we definitely need more of those.

W Club Exclusive Doll "Mademoiselle Eden" from Nu Face...

Well, surprise it's another twin. People on W Club seemed mostly jazzed.  I was like....hmmm. Not sure. It feels like a whole lot of lazy rehash.  That dress seems like a variation on a dress from Luxe Life Eugenia and the jacket is the same one we got on Karolin at Live from Fashion Week (which (I sold off) The hair color is almost identical to the recent Violaine doll (whom I ADORE).  But I do love the mint dress (it has pocketssss!) and shoes quite a bit.  I am not loving the hairstyle at all and would definitely be removing the Snooki pouf hair . I love fantasy hair...but wish it weren't so similar to Violaine.  I've been wanting a minty haired doll...and maybe this one would be a perfect re-root candidate.  So I am still a little undecided.  Someone also pointed out that her stock number (82120A) could possibly indicate a corresponding Lilith version (82120B?) is coming our way (possibly for Dolly days?). Which sort of panic scares me into ordering her...hmmm.

Paris Doll Convention News

The Paris Doll Convention was this past weekend. Pictures can be seen here courtesy of the fantabulous Gerda! There was a gorgeous Raven hair Ellowyne with cute bangs and a ponytail and smokey eye makeup called Paris Blue limited to 250. The Sybarite event doll for the Saturday evening banquet was a bright red wigged doll with hot pink eye makeup and a gold and pink evening gown called Epocholypse. There was also a Raven version in a black and silver gown limited to 20 available via a special drawing. Both have lovely face paint and the wigs are in a cute haute heidi braid look. The dresses are nice..but i am not a big fan of Superdoll's gowns. I love their unique sportswear looks more. I am the same with Tonner gowns as well. Some lucky ducks walked away with the new Sybarite Fashion Victim dolls. I am very jealous as these look FABULOUS. I so want that mohawk pink wig one.... IT Dolly Days East 59th La Femme Godiva Collection with New Characters!

  Well another gorgeous set of dolls from designer Christ Stoeckel. He and Mark Tinkey are definitely favs at the moment. The clothing here is lovely and highly detailed. We are getting two new characters which seem to be using some older sculpts.  I like them and I don't mind some stylization...but they do seem a touch out of step with the screening on Evelyn which seems more realistic.  I tried for Cora in the lottery and lost out.  I am hoping to jump on the wait list and maybe get lucky though. I am a big Mugler fan and this fashion on Cora is definitely a reference to a Mugler look as well as to Jerry Hall's locks (also a Mugler model). I missed out on preordering the rest of the ladies from the dealers.  I would really like to get Evelyn's outfit at some point.  I will be patient.
