You have probably seen them by now...and hopefully you have already fedex'd your life savings to your nearest doll dealer...because these dolls are AMAZING.  The worst part is...there are MORE TO COME. I am clearly not going to survive the vinyl windfall this year.  Some of the current girls need to make way because these upcoming dolls are to good to pass up. The Monograms...wow.  I have not been swayed by these in the past but this current line up is more than tempting.  My two favorites of the batch are Exaggeration and Admiration.  The outfits combined with awesome accessories and beautiful facial screening knock these out of the park.  I did manage to resist the pre-order though but I cannot say that I won't be eyeing future sales on these two girls.  The FR16's look lovely but I am holding out on these until it is the absolute perfect storm of outfit, face, and hair color for me.  Same for the adorable 16 Poppy doll.  The ...

DOLLS, Doll Reader magazines merge The two premiere publications covering doll collecting,  DOLLS  and  Doll Reader , will merge into one title in 2012 published under the name  DOLLS by Jones Publishing. The deal was announced Jan. 27 at the Debut of  Dolls  and DOTY Awards Banquet during the IDEX trade show in Orlando, Fla. Jones Publishing also presented its Lifetime Achievement award to Maggie Iacono at the same event. DOLLS  and  Doll Reader's  sister publications,  Teddy Bear Review  and  Teddy Bear & Friends , will also merge this year. Jones Publishing will retain the title  Teddy Bear & Friends  but increase the magazine's frequency to  TBR's  bimonthly schedule. So excited about the dance foot dolls !  I cannot wait for these.  The other body types are cool as well but I HATE wig dolls.  I will be getting all of the hands though and giving a couple of my superhero ladies upgrade bodies!  I really hope that our convention Wonder Woman doll has these sort of options... The feet options are also soooo exciting for posing..especially for ballet and dance poses... The fashions and shoes are lovely but they need to get going on some red ballet shoes ASAP.
